Stonegate Fiduciary & Accounting PLLC

Fiduciary Services for Families in Middle Tennessee

Careful, CPA-led financial oversight for adults with disabilities, aging parents, and the families who love them

When someone you love can no longer manage their own finances, the responsibility often falls to a family member who is already stretched thin. Bills pile up, benefit rules are confusing, and the court expects detailed records. Stonegate Fiduciary & Accounting provides steady, accurate financial oversight, so family members can focus on providing their loved ones with the care they require.

How We Help

Bill pay and day-to-day money management
We make sure rent, utilities, medical bills, insurance premiums, and care providers are paid on time, every time. Each transaction is recorded and backed by documentation.

Budgeting disability and SSI benefits
Social Security, SSI, and other disability benefits come with strict rules about how money is spent and saved. We build a monthly budget around those benefits, track spending, and help keep the person’s eligibility protected.

Segregated account tracking
Funds held for a protected person must be kept separate and fully accounted for. We manage dedicated accounts through proprietary software, and track every dollar of income and every expense, so the records are complete and easy to follow.

Court reporting and accountings
Conservators and guardians must give the court regular, accurate reports. We prepare court-ready inventories and annual accountings, reconcile them to bank statements, and keep the supporting records organized. That way, filing is straightforward rather than stressful.

Coordination with your team
We work alongside attorneys, care managers, family members, and care providers. Everyone stays informed, and decisions are backed by clear financial information.

Conservatorships & Guardianships

If you’ve been appointed conservator for an adult family member or are seeking a conservatorship, we can help.

Supporting family conservators. Many families want to stay in charge but need help with the bookkeeping and court reports. We handle the financial work behind the scenes while you keep making the decisions.

Elder Care Financial Management

Not every family needs a court process. If an aging parent is starting to miss bills, is overwhelmed by paperwork, or is vulnerable to scams, we can provide ongoing financial oversight, often working with an existing power of attorney. You’ll have visibility into what’s being paid and why, and your parent keeps as much independence as possible.

Why Families Choose Stonegate Fiduciary & Accounting Services

We understand this personally. Our founder, Grant Crosthwaite, CPA, is a court-appointed conservator for his own child. He knows what it’s like to balance love, responsibility, and court paperwork, and he started Stonegate to give other families the support he wished he’d had.

CPA-level accuracy. With 20 years of accounting experience, Grant brings professional standards to records that courts, attorneys, and family members can rely on.

Clear communication. You’ll always know where the money is going. We provide regular reports in plain language, not accounting jargon.

Patience and discretion. We handle every situation with care and keep your family’s information confidential.

How It Works

Free consultation. We talk through your situation, what the court requires (if anything), and what kind of help would make the biggest difference.

Getting organized. We gather accounts, benefits, bills, and documents, then set up a clear system for income and expenses.

Ongoing oversight. We pay bills, manage the budget, and track every transaction month to month.

Reporting. You receive regular updates, and court accountings are prepared on time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a court order to work with you?
No. Conservatorship and guardianship work involves the court, but elder care financial management can often be arranged directly with the person or through an existing power of attorney.

I’m already the conservator. Can you just help with the accounting?
Yes. This is one of the most common ways families work with us. You stay in charge, and we handle the record-keeping and court reports.

Do you provide legal advice?
No. Stonegate is an accounting and fiduciary firm, not a law firm. We work closely with your attorney, and if you don’t have one, we can suggest great local attorneys who handle conservatorship, estate planning, and elder law.

What areas do you serve?
We serve families in Nolensville, Brentwood, Franklin, Nashville, and throughout Williamson and Davidson counties. Please contact us about additional areas where we may be able to assist or provide recommendations.

How are fees structured?
Fees depend on the scope of services and the complexity of the finances being managed. After a free consultation, we'll be able to assess what assistance can be provided and discuss rate structures that fit your family's needs and ability.

You don’t have to figure this out alone. Schedule a free, no-pressure consultation to talk through your situation.
